Iggy Azalea Embraces Her Inner Cher Horowitz With Charlie XCX In Fancy

Just two days ago Iggy Azalea released her set of visuals for the song Fancy that she did with Charlie XCX, and I’m not gonna lie, I like it. Azalea is a hard one to pin down, but is definitely one to watch. She comes from a hardcore rap background, but she knows how to be more accessible. Most her songs are hard and aggressive while sprinkled in are songs you might hear over the radio. Very similar to early Eminem and Nicki Minaj where they stay true to their art form yet play the industry games of sing song hits for the radio. The Australian’s song has already amassed over two million views in just two days which should tell you which type of song this one is. So what is it that makes this video? Is it Azalea’s rhymes? Is it the fact that the whole video is a visual homage to the 90’s classic movie Clueless? Or, is it the fact that Charlie XCX looks like a less stiff Lorde? You watch and decide.
