When you think of a fast food restaurant you immediately think of McDonald’s. Or at least most people do. When you think of music ambiance within a restaurant Starbucks comes to mind. Mix the two and what do you have? Chipotle Mexican Grill? Well the Once McDonald’s backed restaurant is using music to spread it’s message. The NY Daily News reported late July that Chipotle becomes first U.S. restaurant chain to try and rid menu of GMO foods. Moving on from there the company has launched a new ad campaign to “Cultivate a Better World”. And while the Denver Westword Dining reports Chipotle won’t have any Radiohead, The company has pulled some other A List talent to help. Karen O who covered Willie Nelson’s “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys,” and then Willie Nelson provided his own rendition of Coldplay’s “The Scientist.” Fiona Apple though, took things in a slightly different direction and decided to create a very unique, very Fiona version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’s classic “Pure Imagination. Chipotle explained the concept by stating:
In a dystopian fantasy world, all food production is controlled by fictional industrial giant Crow Foods. Scarecrows have been displaced from their traditional role of protecting food, and are now servants to the crows and their evil plans to dominate the food system. Dreaming of something better, a lone scarecrow sets out to provide an alternative to the unsustainable processed food from the factory.
