Yelawolf Sounds Different Now, But Rittz Still Sounds The Same

Betty White Visits Fuse's "No. 1 Countdown"

I’ve been a huge fan of Yelawolf since his 2010 album Trunk Muzik. The stand out song in my opinon was My Box Chevy Pt 3 (feat. Rittz). Still to this day I put it on playlists on my phone. After that, I went through all the back log of Yelawolf’s albums. I’ve gotten every album since Trunk Muzik. And his sound has changed. Not necessarily in a bad way, rather more of a Childish Gambino sound change after Cul De Sac. They just changed the formula once they began being mentored. But back to that My Box Chevy Pt 3 (feat. Rittz). Rittz has been at the rap game for some time and he’s stepping up strong. He had been rapping for about 20 years before people started noticing his verse on My Box Chevy Pt 3. Since then he has released his White Jesus mixtape and has recently signed to Tech N9ne’s indie rap label Strange Music. His new album The Life and Times of Johnny Valiant drops on April 30th. Seriously, check this guy out. Over on they descibe him as ” he marries the southern-fried hip-hop of guys like OutKast and Geto Boys with a tongue worthy of comparison to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Busta Rhymes, and his label boss Tech N9ne himself.” Enjoy the new video for his song For Real. And after the jump check out 2 more of his videos off his White Jesus mixtape.
